A photo greeting card takes one photo and about three minutes. You choose the occasion, we create the card, and you print or share it.

1. Choose the occasion and greeting

Pick Birthday, Mother's Day, Thank you or Graduation, then choose one of three preset greetings. Add an optional names line, such as The Garcia Family.

2. Upload one photo

Use a sharp, well-lit photo with faces toward the camera. Your photo is placed in a scene that matches the occasion, with calm space at the bottom for the greeting.

3. Pay once and download

Pay $9.95 with Apple Pay, Google Pay, a card or Link. Within minutes you get a print-ready 5x7 PDF, a 5x7 JPG and a share card for texts, email and social media.

Each design pairs a scene created from your photo with a short list of greetings. The greeting is set in clean type by our card layout, not drawn into the image, so the lettering is crisp and the spelling is always right.

Custom birthday card with photo

Mother's Day card with photo

Soft spring flowers in gentle morning light. Mother's Day 2027 is Sunday, May 9, so order in early May to leave time for printing.

A clean, bright backdrop with a few green leaves. Use it after a wedding, a baby shower, a birthday party or a retirement.

Graduation cards with photo

Soft confetti and a bright, campus-like background with no readable signs. Send it to share the news, or as a graduation thank-you card for gifts received.

The names line is optional and appears under the greeting. Keep it short so it reads well on a 5x7 card.

• Up to 40 characters, including spaces.
• Latin letters only, including accented letters such as José or Zoë.
• Allowed symbols: spaces, the ampersand (&), apostrophes ('), periods (.) and hyphens (-).
• Not allowed: numbers, commas, emoji, @ or any other symbols.

These rules keep every card clean and easy to read. Because numbers are not allowed, add an age or a date by hand on the back of the printed card. Check the spelling of every name before you pay.

Every photo greeting card order includes three files, so one design covers printing and sharing.

• Print-ready 5x7 PDF: the best choice for home printers and print shops that print on cardstock.
• 5x7 JPG: upload it to a photo counter app or website, such as CVS, Walgreens or Walmart, and order 5x7 prints.
• Share card: sized for texts, email, messaging apps and social media.

You pay $9.95 once for the design and print as many copies as you need. There is no minimum order and no per-card fee from PhotoForPass; you pay your printer only for the prints.

You can print your card anywhere that prints photos or documents. Choose based on how many you need and the finish you want.

At CVS, Walgreens or Walmart

Open the store's photo app or website, upload the 5x7 JPG and order 5x7 prints for pickup. Choose the full image without cropping so the greeting stays intact. Glossy paper gives rich color; matte is easier to write on.

At home

Print the PDF on 5x7 photo paper or heavy cardstock. Set the size to actual size or 100 percent and choose the highest quality setting. Print one test copy to check colors before the full batch, and let the ink dry before stacking.

At a print shop

Take the PDF to an office or print shop and ask for 5x7 prints on cardstock. This is a good option for a big stack of thank-you cards.

A 5x7 card fits a standard A7 envelope (5 1/4 x 7 1/4 inches).

Card files arrive in minutes, so the only real deadlines are printing and mail. Plan backward from the day the card should arrive.

• Birthdays: order a few days ahead if you will mail the card, or on the day if you hand it over or send the share card.
• Mother's Day: Sunday, May 9, 2027. Order by early May to print and mail in time, or send the share card on the day.
• Graduation: most ceremonies fall in May and June. Order thank-you cards soon after the party, while the gifts are fresh in mind.
• Thank you cards: send them within a few weeks of the event; a photo from the day makes them personal.

None of the greetings name a year, so the Graduation design works for any class.

A good card starts with a good photo. Choose one where faces are large, sharp and toward the camera, in soft daylight, with no heavy filters. Cards keep the same people as your photo, so crop out anyone who should not be on the card.

Best photos by occasion

• Birthday: the birthday person close up and smiling, or the whole family together.
• Mother's Day: the kids or grandkids, or mom with them.
• Thank you: the couple, the new baby or a clear group shot from the party.
• Graduation: the graduate in a cap and gown or a favorite outfit.
